ISLAND MODERN

This condo was completely remodeled (taken down to the studs in most areas), and given new life!  The look beautifully combines mid-century modern with a tropical flare.  The client desired an updated and clean home where he could retreat from his busy life in California.  Soothing spa-like colors of moss green, platinum grey, and lagoon blue were incorporated into elements like the glass tile walls by Island Stone.  The layout was reconfigured to capture every inch of useable space.  The small, narrow kitchen was redesigned with new functionality and design impact.  The full-height backsplash adds drama, appeal, and color to this space, and draws the eye upward, giving the room an expansive feel.  All of the electrical and lighting was changed and special details were added, including convenient pop-out outlets above the bedroom nightstands.  The modern porcelain tile flooring is light and airy, but also very practical for an island home.  The mixture of painted woods with the exotic mahogany and sapele, makes for an interesting combination.  Polished chrome fixtures and unique lighting infuse the home with character and sparkle!
